Celebrations of Life
A celebration of life after a direct cremation
A direct cremation takes care of the practical part simply and quietly. It doesn't mean there's no goodbye. When you're ready, whether that's weeks or months later, I can help you bring people together and remember them properly.

What is a direct cremation?
A direct cremation is a cremation without a service beforehand. No one attends, and the ashes are returned to the family afterwards. More and more families choose it because it is simpler, less costly, and takes away the pressure of arranging a funeral in the first raw days. It also leaves you free to plan a farewell in your own way and your own time.
How I can help
In your own time.
There's no deadline. We can meet when you're ready and plan a gathering for a date that suits everyone, even months away.
Wherever feels right.
At home, in a garden, at a favourite pub, a village hall, a woodland or a beach. With or without the ashes present.
Written from scratch.
I listen to your stories, then write a ceremony that truly sounds like the person you're remembering. On the day, I lead it calmly so you can be present.
Ideas families often include
- Stories and memories from family and friends
- Favourite music, live or recorded
- A reading or poem chosen by the family
- A moment of reflection
- Scattering, burying or sharing out the ashes
- Raising a glass together at the end.
How it works
- 01
Start a conversation
call, WhatsApp or message me. There's no obligation.
- 02
We meet
an unhurried chat, in person or by video, about the person and what you'd like.
- 03
I write the ceremony
you see a full draft and can change anything.
- 04
The day itself
I arrive early, settle everyone and lead the ceremony.
Cost
Celebrations of life start from £300. That covers our conversations, writing the ceremony, revisions and leading it on the day. I'll always be clear about the cost before you commit.
